The Churchill Hotel is a superb example of a late Georgian mansion built around 1827 for Mrs Barbara Ashton-Nelson. Over the years the house has been a girls school, a grace and favour home and military offices.
In 1984 the house was purchased by the current owners who have lovingly restored it its former glory, carefully retaining many of its original features. Set in its own grounds, the house is ideally situated just a short walk from the Minster and all major city attractions.
It is also just a short drive to the North Yorkshire Moors, Dales and spectacular coast. Why not make our mansion your home when visiting this most beautiful of cities?
